Radio Interview: Are rising interest rates starting to bite the global economy?
I caught up this morning over breakfast with Malaysian business radio BFM to talk about the global economy and my view on where interest rates, stock markets and the general economy is heading into July 2023.
Rate rises are starting to have an impact and as I discuss, it's not a matter of if, but when the rises will start to have an impact on jobs. We saw US jobs call from 339k per month to 209k last month, with revisions down to the previous month too.
Are these early signs of a crack and that interest rate rises have perhaps gone too far? Check out the podcast to see my answers and outlook for the rest of the year.
